In order to improve our environmental services for our clients, AARC staff recently undertook a Flight Foundations Course through UAVAIR in order to allow our ecologists to utilise UAV (drone)technology in the field.

UAV technology has created opportunities for a variety of environmental applications; including but not limited to aerial photography, disturbance and erosion monitoring, vegetation observations and mapping. The format in which these UAVs can be employed is ever growing, and AARC is focused on adapting to these industry changes to ensure that we are using the latest technology and equipment to provide environmental solutions for our clients.
