Our work in action:
Night noise management for Jellinbah Mine

In 2023, AARC led a noise assessment and management project for a multi-location mine in central Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

A noise assessment reveals the current conditions or character of noise in a specific area – day or night. AARC’s dedicated Acoustic Engineer used four sound level meters during the project, aiding accurate monitoring; distinguishing mine noise from cattle, frogs, insects and neighbouring mines.

Following assessment, AARC identifies possible impacts and provides mitigation measures if needed.
